Let me tell you something about myself and why I am starting this blog.
I am a 32-year old woman. I just got married to a wonderful man and has never been happier in my life. I have an enlightenment on my beliefs about being a Christian and my spiritual life is starting to flourish more. Everything seems to be going great and wonderful.
Except I am over-weight and I'm tired of it.
Right now, I'm at 210 lbs. I am 5" 8. Based on a height to weight ratio, my ideal weight is 145 lbs. Technically, I am carrying an excess baggage of 65 lbs.
That's a heavy load to be carrying around.
Imagine all the things I can do without that excess weight. The beach I can be ruuning, mountains I could be climbing without panting and going out of breath. Imagine how I would look like. Imagine the clothes I could be wearing. Imagine how much more proud my husband will be of me.
It's time to stop imagining. It's time to make things real.
I am using this blog as a motivational tool to further nourish and nurture my physical and spiritual self. I am expecting that sharing what I eat and what I pray for will help me achieve my goal of being a healthier and better person.
EAT. I will be posting what I eat everyday (how much, how often). I will not lie nor hold back. Every bite, every morsel of food that enters my mouth will be known. You have the freedom to judge, ridicule my food intake, make suggestions, praise me for my efforts, etc.
NOTE: I will commit to eating healthier foods. BUT I will not deprive myself of the food that makes me happy. I.e. chocolate, ice cream, pastry, cakes etc. I will eat in moderation and in portion. Special occassions will be an exception as to what and how much I will eat but do know that I will still exert effort not to indulge too much.
An exercise regimen will also be added into this.
PRAY. To nurture my spiritual life, I will also post Bible verses that will guide me through the day and hopefully, inspire my readers as well.
Matthew 4:4 "Jesus answered, "It is written: 'Man does not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.'"
BLOG. Today is the beginning of a new life. I thank you for sharing this with me. Your support and encouragement is well-appreciated.
